Some women, especially Latinas relate sexiness to tight clothes. We love wearing tight figure-flattering clothes that make our assets pop. We live in a world where we love a good sale and if we see an item that we like and it’s at a discounted price, we’ll make it fit! Unfortunately many of us don’t realize how tight clothes actually affect our bodies.
Photographer, Justin Bartels created a project called IMPRESSION where he photographed women without their clothes and captured the imprints and red marks that tight clothes leave behind. He found it interesting how so many women wear uncomfortable clothes to impress others or just to look good.

What Are the Consequences?
One of the most common complaints about wearing skinny jeans is numbness going down one’s thigh, which is known as meralgia paresthetica. There’s a sensory nerve that comes from your pelvis that provides sensation to parts of your thigh. When you wear skinny jeans that are too tight, you might feel a numbness going down your leg, your thigh might fall asleep and when you stand up, you might feel like your foot isn’t under your leg.
“Tight pants syndrome” can give you abdominal pain, heartburn, and you might even start to burp from wearing tight pants. There are dangers to putting too much pressure to your abdomen because you risk not being able to digest your food properly. Plus if you suffer from acid reflux or heartburn, it can make the symptoms worse.
Now a day we see a lot of young men wearing skinny jeans. Pants so tight in their man-area can cause testicular torsion. When this happens one testicle gets twisted on it’s own. Those experiencing discomfort and don’t visit their doctor or continue to wear tight pants can cut off circulation and can actually cause a testicle to die. Tight fitting jeans can also put pressure on the bladder and can cause urinary tract infections.
So, minimize the tighness of your clothes. If you love wearing skinny jeans, we reccomend that you use a cotton blend because cotton allows better air circulation and minimizes fungal breeding.
