Relieve Bloating By Making Changes To Your Diet

Feeling bloated is such an uncomfortable feeling, but changing the foods you eat or the way you eat can eliminate that pesky feeling. In the Latino community, some of our delicacies can include flautas, tostones, gorditas, enchiladas, these fried foods can be the reason you feel bloated. Many ignore the things they eat and it’s very important to your health and it really does affect the way you function or feel every day. These are some foods that can cause you to bloat:

  • Soda
  • Artificial sweeteners
  • Chewing gum
  • Beans
  • Milk
  • Salted Nuts
  • Potato Chips
  • Frozen dinners
  • Bread
  • Broccoli
  • Brussels sprouts
  • Cauliflower
  • Cabbage
  • Fried foods

What Can You do?

  1. Eat more fiber and drink plenty of water
  2. Take your time eating your food
  3. Don’t eat late and try to eat at the same times every day
  4. Don’t hold in your bowel movements, in addition, it can cause constipation
  5. Eat more foods high in potassium like oranges, kiwis, spinach, and strawberries
  6. Eat or drink probiotics like yogurt and soy products
  7. Herbs and herbal tea that include mint, peppermint, rosemary and thyme
  8. Eat more lean protein and high in Omega 3’s like chicken or salmon
  9. Instead of using your vegetables raw cook or steam them
  10. Eat less salt, keeps your blood pressure and bloating down
