Tips To Help You Get Out of Your Funk!

We all have days when we feel like nothing is going our way. The weather is gloomy, you can’t seem to have any energy, and the coffee is just not cutting it. What do you do? You can’t go back and crawl into bed because you have adulting to do, so here are some tips that will help get you out of that bad mood and out of that funk!

Look Good

Do you have a new shirt in your closet that you are saving for a special occasion? Well, chances are that that special occasion that you are waiting for is not getting here anytime soon, so put it on when you’re feeling down.  You’ll be surprised how much a little makeup, perfume, or a new item of clothing can make you feel, especially if someone else takes notice and you get a compliment. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, no? Even if you don’t get any compliments, you still look good and that makes you feel good and lifts your spirit.woman applying perfume

Workout

One of the best things you could do for your health is to get up and move. Many times we blame the weather or feeling blah because you are tired. Well working out can kick your feel-good hormones or endorphins up, and that little brisk walk can make you feel good. So get up and move or dance to your favorite jams!

Talk It Out

Many times women tend to take care of everyone except for themselves and keep all of their feelings bottled up. Pick up the phone and surround yourself with girlfriends or your mom, people that make you feel good, that offer that emotional support you so need at that moment. A lot of times talking to people or talking about your worries can help you get through difficult situations or feelings. You’ll be surprised how simply talking to people that encourage you, cheer you on, or love you can make a difference in your day.woman drinking coffee and on phone

Do Something Nice

Doing something nice for yourself that doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. Many times getting your favorite coffee, giving yourself a manicure, eating your favorite food or simply spending a couple of minutes meditating can make a big difference in your day. Sometimes you need to take a pause and focus on yourself, which at the end will help you get over that funk that is holding you back.
