Finger Coiling (no heat)
This technique will give very curly hair a defined look. Keep in mind that the drying process takes a very long time, so make sure to allow a couple hours for your hair to dry.
- Section your wet hair into three parts between the crown, middle, and base of the head.
- Working from the base going up, separate each big section into smaller sections. Working with a small section, distribute the product from roots to ends.
- Twist small pieces of hair around your finger, the closer to the root, the better the results.
- Release the curl from your finger. Once you are finished with each smaller section, scrunch your curls upward to ensure shape and bounce in curls.
Styling Very Curly Hair (ringlets)
Ringlets can one of the most difficult types of hair to style and work with, but with meticulous care, you can have soft defined curls in no time.
- After your hair is washed, finger comb and scrunch through your hair to give your hair a bouncy and very defined look.
- Wring our excess water in hair by wrapping the hair in a t-shirt instead of a towel, because a towel can tend to be very rough on the hair. After 3 to 5 minutes, let hair air dry about 50%.
- Once your hair is 50% dry, use The Original Curl Crème and lightly distribute the product throughout your hair, by patting and scrunching throughout the hair, really trying to define the curls.
As you can see, with the right technique and the right product, you can stop worrying about the frizz. One thing that we liked about The Original Curl Crème is that it works all day. So ideally, you only have to apply it after you shower or when your hair is wet, once it dries, it locks in the moisture for frizz-free hair, which is what every curly-haired woman wants!
