My go-to high protein breakfast is a tasty smoothie! All you need is your favorite protein powder, your favorite fruits and your choice of yogurt or milk for your base.

Here’s some of my secrets for creating a great protein breakfast smoothie:

  • I love using Vanilla Spiru-tein protein powder which is made from pea, soy, and rice protein rather than whey and contains only 96 calories per scoop and 14 grams of protein.
  • Choose fruits like pineapple, berries, peaches and mango that are naturally sweet and cut them up and freeze them in advance so you won’t need to add ice.
  • For an extra kick, you can add any of these 3 antioxidant superfoods: goji berries, flax seed oil and chia seed.
