Will Kids Notice That Sesame Street’s New Puppet Has Autism?

Most of us grew up watching Sesame Street when we were kids. It’s amazing how much children learn from this show and now children will learn about autism. They’re introducing a 4-year-old autistic puppet called Julia, which will make her debut in April.

 

The character was first introduced in 2015 as part of Sesame Street’s digital resources; “Sesame Street and Autism: See Amazing in All Children,” which includes an iPad app and various online resources for parents with children who have autism.
