There are many types of berries that are in season during the summer. Raspberries for example contain a flavonoid called anthocyanin, which helps your body produce adiponectin, which is a hormone that can help lower glucose levels, curve cravings and boost your metabolism. They are also a great source of fiber, which help digestion and even help beat the bloat. Blueberries are also great because they change how your body stores and processes sugar for energy, which also helps diminish fat.
