Shampoo it away
What’s the first thing they tell you at the salon? Don’t wash your hair too often if you want to the color to last. So, if you want to get rid of the color, make sure you’re shampooing and often. Dandruff shampoos like Head & Shoulders work great to strip your hair from the hair color.
Baking soda
Baking soda is something that gets rid of odors, but you can also use it to remove hair dye or make it lighter. Mix a tablespoon of baking soda with a tablespoon of shampoo, use more if you have thick hair. Lather up and let it sit for a couple of minutes and eventually you’ll see your hair get lighter. It won’t remove the dye completely, but in a couple of days you’ll see the color changing.
White and Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is great for your hair and many people use it to keep their hair looking shiny and healthy. It helps maintain the ph balance of your hair, treats dandruff, detangles and removes buildup without stripping it from its natural oils. White vinegar on the other hand can help remove dye, simply douse your hair with a mix of warm water and vinegar, put a cap on and let it rest and once you wash your hair and rinse, you’ll notice the difference.
Vitamin C tablets
Vitamin C tablets are great to give your immune system a boost or to help strengthen your bones. These pills are also good to lighten dark hair dye. Simply crush a couple vitamin C tablets and add water to create a thick paste. The longer your hair the more tablets you will need. Apply the paste to your wet hair and let it rest for about an hour before you rinse it out. This works best if you do it a couple days after you dye your hair.
