La RCP De Parte De Transeúntes Es Menos Común En Vecindarios Hispanos

En vecindarios con un índice de población hispana de más de un 75%, las personas con paro cardíaco tuvieron una probabilidad por debajo del 40% de recibir RCP de un transeúnte, y una probabilidad de supervivencia de un 44%.

El estudio analizó estadísticas relacionadas con paros cardíacos fuera de hospitales en vecindarios de Alabama, Dallas, Milwaukee, San Diego, Pittsburgh, Seattle y Portland, Oregon, para el periodo entre 2011 y 2015.

“Sabemos que la RCP recibida de un transeúnte mejora las probabilidades de supervivencia”, dijo Audrey Blewer, autora principal del estudio y profesora asistente de la Facultad de Medicina de Duke University en Durham, Carolina del Norte. “Sin embargo, este proceso no sucede tanto en los vecindarios hispanos”.
