¿Es El Sexo Una Buena Medicina Para El Parkinson?

estudio, compuesto de italianos y británicos y dirigido por la Dra. Marina Picillo, profesora asistente en el Centro de Enfermedades Neurodegenerativas de la Universidad de Salerno, en Salerno, Italia.

Picillo y sus colaboradores concluyeron que los pacientes de sexo masculino en etapa temprana que eran sexualmente activos sí experimentan una progresión más “leve” de la enfermedad y una pérdida menos dramática de habilidades motores y otros síntomas de la enfermedad, en comparación con los que no lo son.

Pero hay una complicación. El hallazgo solo parece aplicar a los hombres.

¿Por qué? La respuesta no está clara. Pero un factor podría ser que los resultados de la investigación estuvieran sesgados, dado que se inscribieron el doble de hombres que de mujeres (238 hombres frente a 117 mujeres).
