Thyme is a herb that’s been used for pain relief for many years, but a recent study shows that it beats out Ibuprofen for pain relief. There are many products that women use such as pain relievers targeted specifically for menstruation pain, but many times they’re ineffective, which is why women turn to home remedies. Many women suffer from menstruation pain and some suffer from such extreme pain and heavy flow that they can’t even leave home.
Researchers from Iran’s Babol University of Medical Sciences has confirmed that thyme is not only a great pain-relieving herb, but it also does a better job at taming menstruation pain than ibuprofen.
They tested 84 women aged 18 to 24 who were suffering from primary dysmenorrhea, which includes cramping in the lower abdomen occurring just before or during menstruation, backache, nausea, headaches, and dizziness.
