Protect Your Hair From Chlorine
If you’re going to swim in a pool, make sure you hit the showers and wet your hair before going into the pool or ocean that way your hair won’t absorb all of that chlorine or salt water. Plus you don’t want your hair to turn green—yes it happens!
Combing Your Hair
The most popular hairdoo for the summer is the ponytail and while it may get your hair out of your face it’s important to choose your hair your accessories wisely. Skip the rubber bands and any others that hold your hair too tight. Remember that your hair is fragile and if you brush or pull on it too harshly it will break or fall off and you know how annoying it is to comb those little hairs around your face. If you’re going to do a ponytail or bun, don’t tie it too tight. Make it a habit to let your hair loose at night, let it breathe!
Hold On To Your Hair
Wind can send your strands of hair flying in every direction, which can lead to breakage, dryness and split ends. Make sure if you’re going to be driving with the windows down, you hold on to your hair. Put it up, braid it, wrap it in a scarf, or wear a hat to protect it from the wind and heat.
