Bug Bite Combatant
If you find yourself coated in swollen, itchy mosquito bites following an evening next to the bonfire, try applying a cotton swab of apple cider vinegar to the area. Just like with sunburn, the vinegar will help balance the pH levels and reduce that redness and itchiness. Or, if you want to stay ahead of the game there are bug repellents such as OFF! that can help with your summer nights. Also, bugs don’t like lavender, so growing a lavender bush in your backyard or even wearing lavender scented perfume can keep mosquitoes away.
No More Chafing
Next time you hit the amusement park, throw a stick of antiperspirant in your bag to help with chafing. This uncomfortable rash occurs when two parts of your body start rubbing together, and combined with heat and humidity, it can create too much friction (think of your inner thighs while wearing denim shorts on a hot, sweaty day). Simply rub the antiperspirant on whatever part of your body is agitated for smooth sailing.
Prevent Makeup Sweating Off
In order to keep your makeup on your face instead of dripping off, make sure you use primer. Always apply primer before you put on your foundation. You can even use primer on your eyelids and use waterproof mascara and eyeliner. Set your makeup with a mineral powder, which will help keep your makeup in place, smooth out your skin and absorb oil.
Remember that staying ahead of the game will make summer much more enjoyable.
